Yes, setahun atau dua tahun belakangan ini lipstik matte jadi tren, apalagi dalam bentuk liquid. Berbagai brand kosmetik mengeluarkan koleksi lipstik matte dan brand baru atau brand indie bermunculan dengan produk lipstik matte cair andalan mereka. Brand Dose of Colors sendiri sepertinya gak terlalu terkenal di Indonesia tapi bukan berarti gak terdengar. I've heard people raving about Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstik in shades Berry Me and Berry Me 2 a while ago but the colors honestly didn't interest me that much. Lipstik cair matte dari Dose of Colors punya kurang lebih 12 shades dan kalau diperhatikan baru setahun belakangan Dose of Colors mengeluarkan warna-warna nude dan lately mereka merilis warna-warna yang populer saat 90's.
Dose of Colors adalah brand kosmetik indie asal USA, Produknya cruelty free, gluten free, paraben free dan vegan. Kalian bisa cari produknya di online shop twitter/instagram (make sure cari yang terpercaya) atau di berbagai marketplace. Harganya bervariasi dari 270.000-290.000
First impression. Alright, pertama kali paketku datang aku excited dong pastinya. Aku berharap banyak (what?!) dengan lipstik ini. So, I unpacked dan first, packaging Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick ini bagus, I give 3,8/5 untuk packagingnya. Tubenya dari plastik tebal (atau kaca, I'm not sure either) dan teksturnya matte seperti lipstiknya. Lipstiknya berbau manis tapi bukan manis permen, lebih seperti cookies atau cake. Tapi buatku baunya gak terlalu mengganggu. Tekstur lipstiknya lebih cair kalau dibandingkan dengan lipstik cair yang lain. I'd say the formula is runny and watery. Not creamy as Nyx SMLC or Colourpop Ultra Matte. I find it's tricky to apply it on my lips.
The wand. Wandnya too soft and might be slightly bigger, kombinasi formulanya yang watery dan wand applicatornya yang terlalu lentur yang bikin pengaplikasiannya tricky. Aku pernah coba apply pake brush dan tetap sulit untuk dapat hasil yang rapih. Tapi dengan lipstik matte lain aku bisa pakai langsung dengan wandnya dan rapih! Padahal warna lipstiknya bold bukan nude atau MLBB.
Sekarang kita bahas ketahanannya, well Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick ini long-lasting dan waterproof, gak tranfer kemana-mana asal udah benar-benar kering, Cuma memang agak lama keringnya jadi harus sabar sedikit. Dipake makan berminyak pun tetap stay warnanya. Soal ketahanan dan transfer-proofnya memang juara.
How it feels on the lips. Untuk sebagian orang rasa drying matte lipstik memang agak mengganggu. Tapi untuk Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick, once it's dried it won't feel heavy. Aku barely noticed kalau aku lagi pake lipstik matte. Di bibir rasanya ringan dan gak tebal kayak Nyx SMLC. Nyx SMLC berasa tebal sekali di bibir dan bikin bibir will not sit uncomfortably! Tapi karena tekstur formulanya yang watery, bikin bibir kelihatan garisnya dan kalau bibir kamu belum diexfoliate atau kering, itu akan kelihatan banget.

Overall, aku kasih Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick 3,5/5 I had high expectation on this product but it didn't impress me that much. The color, Bare with Me is so pretty but I don't really like to put much effort on applying lipstick because it's watery and a little bit hard to control. But I like the color so much so I'd keep it anyway. And you know what? Aku punya lipstik Maybelline Bold Matte yang warnanya sangat mirip sama Dose of Colors Bare with Me. If you looking for this dupe, I suggest you try Maybelline Bold Matte 7.
